Breathe Easy Arizona Coalition

There are over 309,000 estimated cases of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) in Arizona, making it the third leading cause of death in the state. Beginning our second century, the American Lung Association is the leading organization working to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Lung disease death rates continue to increase while other leading causes of death have declined. The Arizona COPD Coalition is committed to “promoting lung health and disease prevention by building partnerships and empowering individuals through education, advocacy, and outreach.”

We are asking your participation on this coalition and to this very important task. Your professional knowledge and insight into the devastation, but also the possibilities of hope among this population are greatly valued. Moreover, your expressed commitment, to continuing the education and empowerment of people with COPD are the reasons we are asking you to participate.
